The Oak Tree

From a Hallmark card I received this week
from a life-long friend:

I apologize, but I am new at the rules of writing and posting.
After posting the writing from a Hallmark card,
a writer friend advised to take down the post
without first contacting Hallmark for permission.

The Oak Tree

If you are going through trials and tests of faith lately like I have, then I hope you will find this message of encouragement a blessing as I did.

How blessed it the man who
Does not walk in the counsel of the wicked.
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And In His law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.
Psalms 1:1-3

  1. Ok, I've not seen you since Febuary, but I think you managed to fine your way into my brain! I've had a rough few days and needed this today. I needed to be reminded of just how strong I really am. Love you, and see you in just a few weeks!

  2. Great analogy/wisdom MaryJane! The roots, where the nourishment gets taken in, are not disturbed by outside influences. Thanks for this reminder.

  3. Regardless of season Mary Jane the tree is still being fed and growing from the roots and much of Gods work we don't see as its going on behind the scenes until the new season begins. He feeds us and strengthen us , we are the trees planted by the waters edge.

    1. AMEN! As the oak, our growth may be slow but if we stay the course and steadily move forward, we will become everything He desires for us...strong, courageous and a canopy of fruitfulness.
