About Me

Mary Jane: Mary Jane Downs is an author and retired pre-school teacher who lives in the foothills of the NC mountains. She loves long walks with her camera in hand, reading, hand piecing and quilting, and cooking for friends. Mary Jane has been published in Awe Magazine, Inspiredmoms.com, Rutherford Woman Magazine, guest blogger, former Write2Ignite leadership member, leadership team member of Community Bible Study in her area, avid intercessor in her local church, and sometimes has been known to 'clown around town'. Mary Jane has found her writing and quilting work well together. Quilting provides a time to meditate and gain insight for post ideas she feels she lead by the Lord to write from her own experience to encourage others.
